Whimsicott's job is to land Charm on its own Staraptor to start stacking Attack alongside the Defense boosts from Close Combat. Prankster guarantees that Charm or Tailwind goes off before almost anything else moves. Timid with max Special Attack and Speed lets it also set up the Speed for Garchomp or Sylveon against faster teams. Focus Sash ensures it survives to act even under a spread attack aimed at removing it before it can support.
