Mega Starmie's key role is granting Huge Power to Passimian via Receiver. Adamant nature with max Attack investment makes its physical moves hit hard before or as it goes down. Self-Destruct is the primary way to KO itself and trigger the Huge Power transfer to Passimian. Flip Turn lets it pivot into Torkoal for weather matchups. Some Speed investment lets it outspeed max-Speed Arcanine outside TR, giving flexibility on the turn-1 Flip Turn play.
