Close Combat and Roost let it stack Defense boosts turn after turn until it can be at plus two or plus three and still two-shot most of the format. Dual Wingbeat is crucial into opposing Whimsicott, letting it knock out a Focus Sash Whimsicott without even Mega Evolving first. Jolly with Speed investment keeps it ahead of non-max Garchomp, and it's built to clean up the endgame once the earlier threats have cleared a path.
