Coaching raises both the target's Attack and Defense by one stage. Used on Mega Starmie before it begins sweeping, layering onto an already Huge Power-doubled Attack stat for compound amplification. Unburden doubles Speed after Focus Sash activates, making Sneasler one of the fastest Pokémon on the field on subsequent turns. Fake Out flinches the most dangerous lead on turn one. Rock Slide spreads chip and flinch across both opponents. Close Combat covers Steel and Rock types. Jolly maxed Attack and Speed with Focus Sash guarantees at least one Coaching or Fake Out. Coaching plus Huge Power arrives on the same turn for immediate maximum output.
