Incineroar is the team's defensive backbone, bringing Intimidate to soften physical attackers on entry and Fake Out to flinch leads and buy a free action for teammates. Impish nature with 32 SP in both HP and Defense makes it a sturdy physical wall that can absorb hits repeatedly. Parting Shot provides pivot support while chaining another Attack drop on the incoming target. Shuca Berry reduces Ground-type damage, patching Incineroar's Ground weakness and letting it survive Earthquake-adjacent scenarios that might otherwise remove it early.
