Incineroar is the team's support backbone, providing Fake Out flinch control, Intimidate chip reduction, and Parting Shot tempo on every turn it is on the field. Relaxed nature with zero Speed SP makes it as slow as possible, acting under most opponents in a normal speed environment so its flinch and stat-drop effects hit before targets can act. Heavy HP and Defense investment with Passho Berry lets it soak Water-type attacks it would otherwise be weak to, keeping it alive through multiple Fake Out cycles. Parting Shot is the key linking move, pivoting Mega Gengar safely onto the field at exactly the moment the Perish Trap is ready to close.
