Bastiodon is the team's late-game win condition under Trick Room, built around the Iron Defense into Body Press loop. Sassy nature maximizes Special Defense while keeping Speed low for optimal Trick Room performance. Soundproof blocks status moves and Perish Song, two common ways to force it out. Fissure provides a one-hit-KO option against bulky walls that Body Press cannot break through, and Leftovers offers passive recovery to outlast opponents. The SP spread fully invests in HP and Special Defense to survive the Water-type and Fighting-type attacks it most commonly faces across the ladder.
