Mega Gengar's Shadow Tag locks opponents in place while Perish Song ticks down, with Incineroar's Fake Out buying a free turn to set up the trap. Alolan Ninetales provides Snow weather to shut down rain and sun threats, and its Encore plus Disable deny opponents any escape route. Sneasler, Dragonite, and Kingambit cover physical damage and handle fast Ghost types and Kingambit mirror matchups that Gengar cannot answer alone.

Win Conditions

Mega Evolve Gengar as quickly as possible to activate Shadow Tag, trap opponents with Perish Song, then protect or pivot to survive the countdown. Use Fake Out from Incineroar or Sneasler to stall a turn, and finish with priority Extreme Speed from Dragonite if needed.
