Dragon Fang Garchomp / Charizard Y Grand Champions Festival Winner

1st Place

DoublesRegulation Set M-A

Synergy

Aerodactyl provides Tailwind and Wide Guard support, letting the team outpace the field while shielding Charizard from spread moves. Dragon Fang Garchomp is the primary physical threat, using Scale Shot for speed boosts and the Stomping Tantrum combo on misses. Charizard Y adds Drought-boosted spread damage and Solar Beam coverage, while Kingambit and Basculegion provide late-game sweeping power.

Win Conditions

Aerodactyl sets Tailwind to let Charizard Y and a speed-boosted Garchomp outpace the entire format. Kingambit cleans up with Kowtow Cleave and Sucker Punch once Intimidate has been worn down. Basculegion on Choice Scarf provides an alternative revenge-kill win condition.

Lead Options

Aerodactyl + Charizard, Aerodactyl + Garchomp, Charizard + Garchomp

Threats

Opposing bulky Water types can be problematic without Charizard, opposing Trick Room teams, and Pokemon that can OHKO Aerodactyl before Tailwind goes up.
