Mega Tyranitar is the team's sand engine: Sand Stream activates on Mega Evolution, and crucially resets the weather turn counter when it Mega Evolves, letting the player override opposing drought by Mega Evolving after Charizard. Brave nature with maxed HP and Attack SP maximizes bulk and physical output after Mega Evolution's stat boost. Curse stacks with the already high Attack and Defense to turn Tyranitar into a late-game wallbreaker, while Knock Off removes items and Rock Slide spreads chip damage. Protect buys a turn for safe Mega Evolution or teammate positioning.
