Quiet lowers Speed for Trick Room priority. Drought sets Sun on entry for Eruption's maximum spread damage. Eruption at full HP under Sun with Charcoal delivers enormous spread Fire damage. Heat Wave provides spread Fire coverage when HP drops. Clear Smog resets all stat changes on the target. The distinctive move, directly countering Iron Defense, Clangorous Soul, and Dragon Dance accumulation that would otherwise make targets impossible to KO. Protect for safety. Oranguru's Instruct can force Torkoal to use Eruption twice in a single turn, creating devastating double-damage opening turns under Trick Room when the matchup requires it.
