Sylveon uses Pixilate to convert all Normal-type moves into Fairy, so Hyper Voice becomes a spread Fairy STAB, Hyper Beam becomes a nuke, and Quick Attack becomes priority Fairy damage. Fairy Feather provides a passive Fairy-type damage boost on top of Pixilate, making even spread Hyper Voice hit extremely hard. Modest nature and maximum Special Attack SP maximize the damage output. Detect functions identically to Protect and offers full coverage in game-plan terms. The transcript describes Sylveon as increasingly common in the meta, and this build exemplifies why.
