This Mega Staraptor is built to invest into Speed to keep pace with the format's better base Speed tiers, letting it outrun threats like opposing Jolly Garchomp on its own. It doesn't strictly need Whimsicott's Charm to win, since Close Combat and Roost can stack Defense boosts by themselves, but Charm often creates an immediate win condition when it lands. Jolly with heavy HP and Speed investment keeps it durable enough to survive into the turns where that boost matters most.
