Poison Touch combined with Poison Jab creates near-guaranteed poison on contact, which is especially disruptive against setup-based compositions that rely on stat boosts. Max Attack and max Speed Sneasler with Focus Sash ensures it survives at least one hit and gets off Fake Out disruption or a poisoning Poison Jab. Close Combat threatens Steel types and other threats that might wall the poison strategy. This set rose to prominence late in Regulation MA and transitions naturally into the new format.
