Mega Scizor is the team's primary setup win condition, using Swords Dance to boost its already high Attack before firing Technician-boosted Bullet Punch priority. Maximum HP and Attack SP with Adamant nature give it excellent bulk and immediate damage output. Technician amplifies both Bullet Punch and Bug Bite by 50 percent, covering Fairy types that threaten the double Dragon core of Garchomp and Altaria. Will-O-Wisp from Altaria reduces incoming physical damage, helping Mega Scizor set up safely. The pairing punishes Mega Flareon-less teams, as many Mega Floatzel builds lack fire coverage entirely.
