Rotom-Wash runs Magnet instead of a bulkier item because the team already leans passive and needs Rotom to actually threaten damage rather than just chip. Modest with heavy Special Attack and HP investment lets Thunderbolt hit meaningfully harder into Basculegion while Volt Switch keeps repositioning into the sand core without losing tempo. Levitate grants a clean Ground immunity that pairs naturally with Excadrill's Earthquake, since neither has to play around the other. It also doubles as the team's preferred answer into Charizard Y lines, trading hits alongside Mega Venusaur rather than folding to that matchup outright.
