The physically bulky Calm spread (31 HP / 23 Def / 12 SpD) keeps Politoed alive long enough to activate Sitrus Berry and weather additional hits. Weather Ball becomes a Water-type nuke under its own rain, providing meaningful damage output beyond pure utility. Hypnosis offers a high-risk sleep option that can freeze a key threat in place, buying an extra Perish Song turn without needing Shadow Tag to trap.
