Palafin is the rain-powered physical finisher. Zero to Hero transforms it into Hero form after switching out, so the team creates switch-out opportunities via Volt Switch on Ampharos and Parting Shot on Incineroar before Palafin returns. Wave Crash under rain reaches enormous damage output against targets Ampharos does not cover. Jet Punch provides priority to close out weakened targets regardless of which speed control mode is active. Palafin's late-game power scales with how many safe switch cycles the team generates.
