Kingambit provides priority Sucker Punch to pick off weakened fast threats outside of Tailwind turns, and Kowtow Cleave as a reliable never-miss Dark-type attack. Defiant punishes any Intimidate or stat drops directed at it, turning defensive plays into Attack boosts. Chople Berry lets it survive a Fighting-type hit and retaliate, which is critical given the team's lack of Intimidate support. Max HP with near-max Attack and Adamant nature balances its role as both a bulky tank and a late-game cleaner. Low Kick rounds out coverage against heavy Steel-types.
