Hydreigon is the team's scarfed special attacker and revenge killer. Timid with maxed Speed and Special Attack SPs under Choice Scarf makes it the fastest Pokemon the team fields, outspeeding even opposing scarf users in most cases. Levitate grants Ground immunity. Earth Power KOs Incineroar and Steel-type switch-ins. Heat Wave hits both targets with spread fire coverage to clean weakened mons. Dark Pulse handles Psychic- and Ghost-type Pokemon. The 2 Def SPs fill the budget. Hydreigon enters mid-game to punish Psychic move users or check threats the pivot cycle cannot handle directly.
