Adamant nature with maxed HP and Attack delivers maximum damage while the HP investment provides meaningful bulk under Trick Room. Protect lets Heracross stall out turn one safely while Runerigus sets Trick Room unopposed. Close Combat handles Steel types like Kingambit that would otherwise wall multi-hit coverage. Rock Blast covers fire and flying threats, particularly Mega Charizard Y, which this team struggles to answer otherwise.
