Mega Heracross holds Heracronite and carries the Moxie ability before Mega Evolution, converting to Skill Link on Mega Evolving to guarantee all multi-hit moves connect five times. Jolly max Speed is critical because Heracross loses Speed on Mega Evolution, and the extra Speed lets it outspeed Glaceon, Adamant Basculegion, and many Charizard spreads. Max Attack maximizes damage output given the Jolly nature trade-off. Close Combat OHKOs Chopple Berry Kingambit, Rock Blast threatens Charizard, and Bullet Seed breaks Focus Sash on Basculegion while also KOing alongside Sylveon.
