Heliolisk counters Rain teams through its Dry Skin ability, which absorbs Water-type moves for HP recovery, and its Normal typing makes it immune to Basculegion's Ghost-type moves. Focus Sash guarantees survival from a one-hit KO, letting it threaten Ally Switch to misdirect targeting. Ally Switch is particularly tricky in doubles, forcing opponents to recalculate targeting mid-turn. Hyper Voice provides spread damage against Doubles, while Thunderbolt hits water targets for single-target power. Timid with maxed Special Attack and Speed keeps it fast and hits hard from the back.
