Greninja is a Pokemon the team almost never sees played elsewhere, and its role here is unusual: Water Shuriken combines with Archaludon to immediately stack that partner's own Stamina Defense boosts, overwhelming teams that rely heavily on physical damage even without Body Press. Timid with max Special Attack and Speed keeps Weather Ball and Dark Pulse threatening under Rain, and Focus Sash guarantees it survives to fire off that Water Shuriken even against spread pressure.
