Garganacl's primary job is to lead alongside Whimsicott, use Explosion under Tailwind to deal chip damage, and KO Whimsicott itself, granting a free switch-in for Pinsir and an Anger Point sweeper under three turns of Tailwind. Silk Scarf boosts Explosion's Normal-type power enough to ensure Whimsicott faints. Clear Body prevents Intimidate from reducing Attack before the Explosion. Stealth Rock breaks Focus Sashes and pressures Charizard switch-ins. Wide Guard protects from spread moves when not going for the Explosion line. Jolly with max Attack and max Speed ensures it can outpace key targets under Tailwind before sacrificing.
