Life Orb Garchomp is the team's raw closing power, threatening the fastest Charizards and hitting hard enough to end games outright. It runs Stomping Tantrum over Earthquake because no partner wants to eat a spread Ground move: Whimsicott lacks Protect, Chandelure needs Protect for itself, and Starmie is often Choice-locked elsewhere. Jolly with maxed Speed keeps it ahead of relevant threats, while the HP SP is tuned to exactly avoid a second point of Life Orb recoil each turn. The rest goes into Attack so Dragon Claw and Rock Slide knock out consistently.
