Mega Floette fills the Dragon-type check role that Mega Pyroar cannot cover, as Dragon-types resist Fire, Grass, and Fairy moves from Pyroar but fall hard to Light of Ruin and Moonblast. Modest nature with full SpA and Speed SP maximises offensive output. Light of Ruin is a high-power Fairy move with recoil, giving Mega Floette immediate knockout potential on Garchomp, Dragonite, and Kommo-o. Dazzling Gleam spreads Fairy damage to both opposing Pokemon. The team uses Floette as the alternate mega lead for game plans where Pyroar's Fire typing is resisted across the opponent's full team.
