Excadrill is the payoff for Tyranitar's weather. Sand Rush doubles its Speed under Sandstorm, turning a middling base stat into one of the fastest attackers on the field the moment the weather is up. Adamant with maxed Attack and Speed and just enough HP keeps the build lean, while Focus Sash guarantees it survives a hit to threaten a fast Earthquake or Rock Slide in return. Iron Head covers the Fairy types that resist Ground, and Rock Slide adds spread damage and flinch chances. Protect lets it wait out the turn Sandstorm actually goes up.
