Excadrill is the team's primary sweeper, using Sand Rush to double its Speed under Tyranitar's sand. Focus Sash ensures it can always trade or set up, and max Attack Adamant maximizes damage since no defensive benchmark matters when surviving on one HP anyway. Swords Dance replaces the more common Rock Slide, betting that one Follow Me turn from Clefable converts into a plus-two Excadrill that runs through weakened teams. Earthquake is devastating at plus two, and Iron Head punishes Floette and Fairy types that try to switch in and wall the ground coverage.
