Mega Dragonite serves as the secondary Mega Evolution choice for matchups where Scovillain is weak, particularly against Mega Charizard Y where its Multiscale ability and Dragon typing improve defensive matchup while Modest 32 SpA fires back with Dragon Pulse. The 23 Spe SP gives meaningful speed investment to pressure opponents without committing fully. Hurricane provides spread damage and Extreme Speed offers priority cleanup. Paired with Sneasler, it creates immediate Fake Out plus Dragon Pulse offense. Its presence as a flex mega means opponents cannot always predict which evolution the team will reveal.
