The bulk thresholds are specifically targeted against common spreads in the format. Dragon Claw provides single-target Dragon STAB for precision KOs rather than Breaking Swipe's Attack-lowering spread. Tough Claws amplifies all contact moves after Mega Evolution. Adamant nature with 24 Speed EVs hits a specific post-Dragon Dance benchmark. This is the most straightforward of the Charizard X builds: establish Veil, get one Dragon Dance, sweep with boosted Flare Blitz and Dragon Claw.
