Mega Blastoise is one of the biggest rising threats on high ladder, capable of winning a game in a single turn or two if the opponent misplays around Shell Smash. Modest with max Special Attack and Speed maximizes the payoff once it's boosted, and Water Spout scales with its own remaining HP for a huge nuke. Dark Pulse covers the Ghost and Psychic types that would otherwise wall it. It pairs especially well with Mega Delphox as a dual setup offensive core.
