Basculegion forms the team's rain sweeper core alongside Politoed. Under rain, Swift Swim doubles its Speed, and Adamant nature with max Attack SP makes Last Respects and Wave Crash hit extraordinarily hard. The mixed bulk spread of 13 HP, 11 Def, and 10 Spe outside of rain provides enough staying power to take hits and pivot. Sitrus Berry sustains it through chip damage. Flip Turn allows safe pivoting to bring Politoed back in to refresh rain, and Wave Crash's recoil is offset by the raw power it provides.
