Speed Swap transfers Alakazam's exceptional Speed to a slow partner like Snorlax, making Snorlax faster than any non-Scarf attacker under normal speed conditions. Timid nature with 32 Spe SP ensures it acts first to execute the swap. Ally Switch repositions threatened teammates on the fly, protecting setup Pokemon. Expanding Force provides spread Psychic-type damage when Psychic Terrain is active.
